Prep Time 30 minutes
Total Time 30 minutes

Equipment

  • Blender
  • Piping bag/ziplock bag optional

Ingredients

  • 500 grams frozen watermelon cubes (seeds removed)
  • 1 lime's zest
  • 1/2 lime's juice
  • 1 tsp honey optional
  • Salt

Instructions

  • Add the frozen watermelon, lime zest, lime juice, and honey into a blender and blend on high speed until it's silky smooth. If the pieces get stuck, shake the blender and move them around with a spoon to get the blender going again. You might have to do this a few times throughout the process.

  • Cut a thick triangle watermelon slice and remove its center. Transfer the soft sorbet into a piping or ziplock bag and pipe it into the hollow center of the watermelon slice. Top with a sprinkle of salt and lime zest and enjoy.
    Salt
  • Alternatively, you can set the sorbet in a bowl or popsicle mold and enjoy it whenever you want to.

Notes

Storage:
This watermelon sorbet can be stored in the freezer for up to two months.
Tips & Tricks:
  • Cut the watermelon in small cubes before freezing to make the blending process easier.
  • Deseed the watermelon as much as you can, but don't worry if there are a few seeds left.
  • The blending process might take some time. Make sure to keep moving the ingredients with a spoon every time they get stuck (with the blender switched off). Don't add any water, as this will make the sorbet icy and diluted.
