Both the Chocolate and the Strawberries & Cream fillings are so good that it will be hard for you to choose!

We all know that breakfast is the superior meal. I mean, when else can you indulge in delicacies like pancakes, waffles, pastries, and more all in one sitting and not be looked at like you have absolutely lost it?

That’s right, lunch and dinner food have nothing on breakfast food.

I have already shared some of my favorite breakfast recipes like these fluffy pancakes and this cinnamon roll toastie with you, but today I am something even more special. It’s Croissant French Toast!

And not just ANY Croissant French Toast, STUFFED Croissant French Toast.

Yep, these delicacies are filled with 2 delicious types of filling, coated in a french toast batter, and toasted to perfection. Who’s drooling already?

Before you panic, this recipe uses store-bought croissants. Don’t worry, you won’t have to labor in the kitchen for 2 days to make croissants from scratch. This quick and easy recipe comes together in just a few minutes and is the perfect breakfast/brunch recipe to have up your sleeve when you want to impress without putting in any effort.

So let’s get into the details –

The French Toast Batter

Okay, even if you have never made French toast before, the batter is really the simplest thing to make. It’s just eggs, milk, sugar, and vanilla, whisked until they all come together. You can add spices like cinnamon on nutmeg if you want to add an extra kick to your French Toast. The filled croissants get dunked into this eggy batter that gives them that sweet, crunchy exterior.

You can also make this the night before and leave your croissants soaking in the batter overnight. This will make your life a lot more easy in the morning and also allow the croissants to soak up as much liquid as possible.

The Filling

The fillings are really what take this croissant french toast to the next level. We have two types of fillings – chocolate and strawberries & cream. Both are A1 and super easy to make.

The chocolate one is filled with Nutella. You can replace it with any other spread of your liking, like peanut butter or even Biscoff 🤤. The strawberries & cream one is filled with cream swirled with strawberry jam.

Filling the croissants is super simple. You just have to make a small, one-inch slit on one side of the croissant with a knife and add your filling using a zip-lock or piping bag.

You can always experiment with the fillings and add your own twist. The possibilities are endless!

The Toppings

Here’s where you can really go wild. The croissant french toasts can be topped however you like. I usually like to add some maple syrup with a dollop of cream. You can then customize it based on your filling flavor. For example, I topped the strawberries and cream one with fresh strawberries, and the chocolate one with chopped pistachios.

Hopefully, by now you are obsessed with the idea of making these croissant french toasts for your next breakfast. So let’s get started!

PS: I always measure ingredients in grams, never in cups. Using a measuring scale is the only way to bake accurately. Cups are very unreliable and can give different measurements, so I would suggest you buy a measuring scale before you start baking! If you can’t get your hands on one, you can use the online tools for converting grams into cups, however, I do not guarantee their accuracy.
